Long Shackle
Long Shackle padlocks are useful for applications where increased vertical clearance is required. It is important to note that the longer shackle makes these padlocks more susceptible to bolt cutter and saw attacks. As such, their use should be limited to applications that require the extra length.
For applications where there is a high risk of attack and vertical clearance is not a factor, we suggest installing a closed, concealed or sliding shackle padlock.
